Learn German intensively with extra communication practice
The Intensive German Course at Horizonte Regensburg is ideal for learners who want to strengthen their oral communication skills and practice modern, everyday German in a creative and relaxed group setting.
This course supplements the Standard Course with additional speaking-focused lessons designed to help you gain fluency and confidence in real-life situations.
This Intensive German Language Course is available from January 2026.
Course Structure
Total lessons: 24 lessons per week
Start: January 2026 onward
Morning lessons – Standard Course
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00–12:30
Focus: Structured language progression following the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) through dynamic, interactive, and engaging lessons.Afternoon lessons – Intensive Module
Schedule: Monday & Thursday | 13:30–15:00
Focus: Communicative speaking practice, creative vocabulary work, and practical language activities that build confidence and fluency in an enjoyable, supportive atmosphere.
Classes are so arranged that you can participate in the activities of the leisure programme and explore the beautiful city of Regensburg.
What to expect in the Intensive Course
In the afternoon sessions, you’ll put your morning learning into practice through:
- Role-plays and partner interviews simulating everyday encounters in Germany.
Conversation tasks and creative group projects that encourage spontaneous speaking.
Situational exercises like ordering in a café, asking for directions, or chatting on public transport.
- Vocabulary-building games and listening activities to strengthen your fluency and comprehension.
The Intensive German Course is designed as a communicative add-on, giving you extra opportunities to use German actively and confidently in real-life situations. Our experienced teachers encourage spontaneous speaking while helping you improve accuracy and avoid common errors, providing a supportive space to experiment, try new expressions, and deepen your communication skills.
Class Levels & Group Sizes
Students are placed in groups (max. 12 participants) according to compatible, adjacent language levels.
Group size adjustments:
4-12 participants: 2 × 90 minutes
3 participants: 2 × 60 minutes
2 participants: 2 × 45 minutes
1 participant: 1 × 45 minutes
Enrolment & Placement
The Intensive Course takes place at all levels year-round.
When enrolling, please indicate your estimated German level. After registration, you’ll be asked to complete our placement test to ensure you join the right group.
