FSP Preparation Course – Medical German for International Doctors
German for Medical Professionals | Prepare for the Fachsprachprüfung (FSP)

If you completed your medical degree abroad and plan to work as a doctor in Germany, you will need to obtain your medical license (Approbation). A key requirement is passing the Medical Language Proficiency Exam (Fachsprachprüfung, FSP).
At Horizonte Language School in Regensburg, we offer an intensive FSP preparation course designed specifically for international medical professionals. Our course helps you succeed in both exam formats recognized in Bavaria:
The Bavarian State Medical Association (Bayerischen Landesärztekammer – BLÄK)
What is the Medical Language Proficiency Exam (FSP)?
The FSP is a 60- to 70-minute exam that evaluates your medical German language skills through three practical modules:
Doctor–Patient Communication: Conducting an anamnesis and providing patient information in clear, everyday language.
Medical Documentation: Writing a doctor’s letter using accurate and professional terminology.
Doctor–Doctor Communication: Presenting a patient case in structured, fluent medical German.
This exam is required for obtaining your medical license in Germany and ensures that you can communicate safely and effectively in clinical settings.
