Registration & Payment
Completed application forms should be sent (by mail, fax, online or email) as early as possible and not later than 4 weeks prior to the beginning of your course. You will receive confirmation of your registration. A deposit of 100 Euro - Visa or master card, cheque or postal order - should be sent with your application or after receiving confirmation; the balance to be paid before the course begins or on arrival. Late applications should be confirmed by telephone or fax. In the event of non-availability of places, your deposit will be refunded.


Arrival and Departure
Trains run every hour from Munich station (90 min.) If you arrive at Munich airport: One of the frequent shuttle buses (Central area C) will take you to the Freising train station (15 minutes): Departures to Regensburg every hour (the train takes 90 minutes).

Trains from Frankfurt airport (3h 30 min.) run hourly, too.

The school is at 10 min. walking distance from the station, a taxi costs about 6 €.
You should arrive here on Sunday afternoon between 17.00 and 19.00. In a short conversation we'll find out more about your knowledge of German and then tell you in which group to go on Monday morning. After that we'll take you to your accommodation.
If you want to stay longer than Saturday morning after the end of your course, please let us know in time - it may be possible.


Public Transport/Bike rental
The bus fare isabout 10 € per week and 26 € per month. The fee for a bike is 10 € per week.


Lessons & Timetable:
The lessons take place in our premises at Rote-Hahnengasse 12.
Standard course: 9.00 - 12.30 (10.30 - 11.00 break)
Intensive, Business German, Flight attendant and Translation Courses etc.: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 13.30 - 15.30, Friday from 13.30 to 15.00 (altogether 10 lessons) or upon special arrangement with the instructor. There are no lessons on Wednesday afternoon usually.



Books
You can borrow or buy the books and other learning materials used in class. Dictionaries, grammar and exercise books are for sale only.


Meals
There are lots of bars, restaurants and bakeries in the city centre. A meal including a beverage costs min. 7 € (a cup of coffee ca. 1.50 €, a coke ca. 2 €, a glass of beer, juice, mineral water ca 2 €. The meals (midday and evening) at the university canteen (direct bus number 11, 10 minutes) are very reasonably priced (ca. 3 € ) and quite tasty.


Climate and Weather
The climate in this part of Bavaria is moderate, not too cold, not too warm. You can have rain at any time of the year. In winter, you can expect snow with temperatures between -10 and +10°C from November to March., and in summer you can have all kinds of weather: hot days over 30°C (even for a period of several weeks), cloudy weather or rain - and sometimes everything within one week!

Laundry
In the student residences, washing machines are available; there are laundries in the city centre; please do not ask your host familiy to wash your cloths (if you stay longer than 2 or 3 weeks, they may probably offer you to do some washing).

Sports
Swimming: Westbad (outdoor and indoor pools, bus numbers 6 & 11), RT-Bad (outdoor, Oberer Wöhrd), Hallenbad (indoor, Landshuter-/ Gabelsbergerstraße). Horizonte - Students get reduced student fares.

In summer, you can go by bike to some nearby lakes which are ideal for swimming. Football (soccer), jogging, beach volleyball, frisbee meetings according to interest and weather.

There are various gyms, possibilities for tennis and squash (not in the city centre). If you want to go hiking or skiing in the Alps during the weekend, it takes you only 2 hours by car to interesting sites.

Have your mail sent to our address. In urgent cases you may be called here, too. We pass faxes on to you, of course. For a small fee you can send faxes. There are some computers for our students to check their e-mails for free.
